the 46th Congress of Polish Psychiatrists, held once again in Szczecin between June 24-26, 2021, is fast approaching. This time around, its tagline will be "Psychiatry in transition".
2020 is also the year the Polish Psychiatric Association celebrates its 100th anniversary. We hope it to be a breakthrough, especially due to the necessity to face various major challenges, related to, among others, structural changes in psychiatric health care and absence of specialized medical personnel, difficulties in adjusting education programs to new models and paradigms, new social phenomena and related social crises, eg. mass migration, intercultural problems or problematic use of the Internet, or limited funding allocated to research in psychiatry and clinical psychiatry.
The Congress will take place on the Academic Campus of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Szczecin, the atmosphere of which we hope will be conducive to our deliberations.
The conventions of the Polish Psychiatric Association are a beautiful combination of science and clinical practice. We therefore hope that the subjects of lectures, workshops and meetings of the 46th Congress of Polish Psychiatrists will meet your expectations, contribute to professional development and stay in your memories for a long time to come, not only due to the substantive aspects of the meeting, but also thanks to the ambience of the city of Szczecin, whose squares reflect the pattern of the Orion constellation, the smell of chocolate hovers over the Odra boulevards, located in the city center is the most beautiful building in Europe - the Szczecin Philharmonic, and in its close vicinity, around the Dialogue Center Upheavals, in Solidarności Square, extends the best public space. Once in Szczecin, it is also worth to visit and stroll around the beautiful park alleys of Jasne Błonia.
We are proud to announce, that the 46th Congress of Polish Psychiatrists will be attended by Professor Philip Gorwood, President of the European Psychiatric Association, who kindly accepted our invitation to Szczecin. Joining us for one of the sessions will also be past EPA Presidents - Professor Danuta Wasserman, Professor Wolfgang Gaebel and Professor Silvana Galderisi.
So, dear Colleagues,
we would hereby like to cordially invite you too to participate in the 46th Congress of Polish Psychiatrists in Szczecin, one of the most dynamically developing agglomerations in Poland.
